Refund and Cancellation Policy
What happens to the money if either of us stops. Written as plainly as we can manage, because this is the page people read when they are already unhappy.
Before work starts
If you cancel before the first design work begins, the booking payment is refunded in full, minus nothing. Dates are held for you and we would rather release them early than keep your money.
After design has started
The booking payment covers the design stage and is not refunded once that work is underway. You keep everything produced up to that point, in editable files.
After design sign off
If you stop after signing off the design but before launch, you pay the first two stages and nothing more. The design files and any code written so far are handed over. There is no penalty for stopping.
If we stop
If we cancel the project for any reason other than non payment, you get a full refund of everything paid, and you keep every file produced so far. That is the strongest version of this promise we can write, and it is deliberate.
If we miss the launch date
If the launch date is missed for a reason that belongs to us, the final invoice is waived. You still get the finished site. This does not apply where the delay came from content, feedback or approvals arriving late on your side.
Monthly Care
- Stop it in any month. A message is enough, and there is no notice period.
- The month already paid for runs to its end. We do not refund part months, and we do not bill you for the next one.
- Stopping the plan stops us running the site. It does not take the site away from you: every file, the design, the code and the domain are handed over within five working days, and you are free to host it anywhere.
- Work agreed above your monthly cap is billed for what was done before you stopped, and nothing after.
How refunds are paid
Back to the account the payment came from, within ten working days of it being agreed. We do not offer credit notes in place of refunds.

Email Octanadx@gmail.com first and we will try to sort it directly. We have never wanted to be the studio that hides behind a policy page, and a short conversation has resolved every version of this so far.
Placeholder: the registered company name, company number, registered address, contact email and governing country still need to be filled in by Octana Dx Co. before this page is published. Everything else on this page describes how the site and the studio actually work.
